It starts with fifty white, rice-shaped baroque pearls, high-lustre and elongated, each one slightly different in shape, strung on a 925 sterling silver chain with genuine sterling silver accent beads running between them. At the clasp: a large heart-shaped toggle in stainless steel. Not decorative. Deliberate.
In photos, the necklace looks simple and classic. In person, the many pearls give it a fuller look, and the heart toggle catches your eye more than you might think.
At 45 cm, the necklace rests at the collarbone. With fifty pearls, it forms a complete strand. It feels solid but not too heavy to wear.
