The Keshi pearl at the centre of this necklace is 20mm and has a genuinely difficult-to-describe form. It is almost square, but with a soft, cloud-like silhouette, rippled undulations all the way round, no clean edges anywhere. The colour shifts from warm silvery-blush across the face to deep dusty rose-pink and mauve in the hollows, with flashes of greenish-silver and warm gold in certain light. The nacre surface is high-lustre and almost metallic in places, the quality that gives this type of pearl its name.
High-cluster means the nacre has built up in overlapping layers that create a depth of surface you can’t achieve with any other kind of pearl.
On the fine 18k gold-over-sterling silver cable chain, it sits horizontally at the sternum. A soft cloud of pink-silver light, floating against the skin.

High-cluster Keshi pearls develop an exceptional depth of overlapping nacre layers that creates a mirror-like, near-metallic lustre quite unlike standard cultured pearls.
