It starts with white baroque pearls, 10mm, cultured, and a little irregular, as real pearls always are. They sit along the strand between smooth high-lustre glass beads that catch daylight and hold it. At the centre hangs a large dragonfly in surgical-grade stainless steel. Flat and graphic, detailed enough to look at twice.
Soft white. High shine. Steel grey. A combination that shouldn’t feel as considered as it does.

At 49 cm, it sits at the collarbone. The dragonfly rests still; the pearls carry the light. You’ll wear it on days when you need the reminder more than the jewellery.
