It begins with eleven raw Hubei turquoise stones, each one hand-wrapped individually onto sterling silver wire, vivid blue-green, darkly veined with matrix, unpolished and entirely genuine. Between them: twelve larimar stones, soft blue-grey and cloud-like, with the quiet, watery calm that makes larimar one of the world's most distinctive gemstones. The two stones sit together on a 49cm sterling silver chain.

Raw blue-green. Pale cloud blue. Sterling silver throughout a necklace built around two stones that rarely share a strand.

At 49cm (19.3 inches), it sits below the collarbone. The sterling silver chain and wire give the piece a clean, cool finish that lets both stones read clearly.
