It starts with two dark blue keshi pearls, each about 20mm, flat and wide, with a mirror-like lustre that shifts between deep navy and midnight depending on the light. They hang from genuine 925 sterling silver hooks, simple and refined.

At a 5 cm drop, they sit just below the earlobe. Bold in size, surprisingly light to wear. You’ll forget they’re there until someone stops you to ask about them.

Keshi pearls are an accident of nature; they form without a nucleus, which means they’re made entirely of nacre. That’s what gives them their depth of colour and the mirror finish you don’t get from standard cultured pearls.
